Joining the FidoRing
Web Ring

Joining the FidoRing Web Ring is on the link at the bottom of this page to join.

The web ring includes an internal search engine and hit counter. Please make the best use possible of keywords and descriptions. You'll also notice a "search spy" option. This allows you to view the most recent searches made of the webring.

As soon as you join, you'll see the html fragment in your browser screen. You'll need to paste that into the page you submitted for inclusion in the ring.

The next step will be an email confirming your addition to the ring. It will contain your site ID number and a copy of the HTML fragment mentioned above that must be placed on your page.

It is essential that you place the fragment on your page as soon as possible to insure that visitors to your page from the FidoRing Web Ring will be able to visit the ring and other sites.

In order to remain a member of the Ring, your site MUST contain the HTML fragment that will access the Ring.

Please keep in mind that the FidoRing Webring's purpose is to share information that will be of benefit to your peers.

While not a requirement, it's common courtesy not to lock the ring segment in your frames. The code supplied to you makes use of a "target=_top" type statement to allow visitors to reach the ring.
